Keep the Battery Charged
Some eGo e-cigarettes use regulation circuity to maintain a constant power level of 3.3 volts. The regulation circuity allows those devices to offer consistent performance and excellent battery life. With other eGo e-cigarette models, though, you’ll get a higher voltage with a fully charged battery. As you use the device, the battery voltage drops, and the vapour production declines. Have you noticed that your eGo e-cigarette seems to produce less vapour over time? Charge the battery more often to enjoy the best possible vapour production.
Puff Slowly and Deeply
If you’re new to vaping, one of the most important things you can learn is that you can’t puff on an e-cigarette in exactly the same way as you might puff on a tobacco cigarette. In a tobacco cigarette, the rings in the paper help the cigarette burn more quickly if you take faster, firmer puffs. E-cigarettes, however, don’t work that way. The only way to increase the temperature of the heating coil in an e-cigarette is by increasing the power delivered to the coil. Puffing more firmly on an e-cigarette may actually have the opposite of the intended effect; doing so can suck e-liquid from the tank’s reservoir to its chimney, clogging the air path. Puffing too firmly might even cause you to get e-liquid in your mouth.
In short, the best way to get more vapor with an eGo e-cigarette is by taking long, slow puffs to draw the maximum possible amount of vapor into your mouth without sucking the e-liquid out of your tank.
Upgrade to a Variable-Voltage Battery
The two tips above can help you get the most possible vapour out of your eGo e-cigarette without spending money or changing the equipment you’re using. If you want more vapour than that, you’re going to need to upgrade your equipment. In our selection of eGo starter kits, you’ll find eGo Twist kits starting at just £20. Using a simple dial, an eGo Twist battery allows you to control the power regulation circuitry of your e-cigarette to raise and lower the voltage delivered to the atomizer coil. When you want warmer, fuller vapour clouds, just increase the voltage of your device.
When you use a variable-voltage eGo battery, finding the ideal voltage for your hardware and vaping style requires a bit of experimentation. Some attachments – such as eGo cartomizers – have very efficient wicking properties as long as you keep them full. Feel free to kick the voltage up if you’re using a tank, cartomizer or clearomizer that wicks efficiently. Other attachments wick less efficiently and work best at lower voltages.
Try a New Attachment
If you enjoy trying new things, there are few better vaping platforms than the eGo e-cigarette because there are many tanks, atomizers, cartomizers and clearomizers that all work with your device. Take a look at just a few of the different hardware configurations possible with an eGo e-cigarette.
Let’s learn a bit more about the experience you can expect with some of these different e-cigarette attachments.
eGo E-Cigarette Clearomizer
All Second City Vapour eGo e-cigarette kits include clearomizers. The clearomizer is hands down the most convenient way to vape with an eGo e-cigarette. Clearomizers are easy to fill and easy to use. Most of them are fully disposable, so when a clearomizer begins to lose its flavour, you’ll simply throw it away and fill a new one. The fact that clearomizers have clear sides also means that you’ll always know how much e-liquid you have left.
eGo E-Cigarette Cartomizer
A cartomizer has fabric gauze wrapped around a centre heating coil. As you vape, the natural wicking action of the gauze draws the e-liquid toward the coil. Although the airflow of a cartomizer is slightly more restrictive than that of a clearomizer, cartomizers have excellent vapour production and wicking properties. Many eGo cartomizers work best at higher voltages, so we recommend trying them with our variable-voltage eGo Twist battery. The one drawback of eGo cartomizers is that they can be a little difficult to fill. You’ll get the best results if you use a syringe or needle-tipped bottle to inject e-liquid all the way to the bottom of the gauze. When the e-liquid begins to pool at the top of the cause, the cartomizer is full.
eGo E-Cigarette Tank
Small tanks such as the Aspire Nautilus Mini work perfectly with the eGo e-cigarette. Since a tank stores your e-liquid in glass, it has excellent flavour characteristics. Tanks also have superb wicking and vapour production characteristics. The only downside of tanks is that they’re a little more difficult to use than clearomizers because they require periodic replacement of their atomizer coils.
eGo E-Cigarette Atomizer
Atomizers such as the 510 atomizer and the 306 atomizer are holdovers from the earliest days of the vaping industry, so they can be a little difficult to find today – but they’re still out there. To use an atomizer, you’ll connect it to your eGo e-cigarette. You’ll then place a hollow plastic component called a drip tip over the atomizer. You’ll drip a bit of e-liquid from a bottle through the hollow opening at the top of the drip tip. You’ll then hold the button on your e-cigarette and vape. Using an atomizer with your eGo e-cigarette is a great way to experience every nuance of the flavour in your e-liquid because there’s no gauze or other filler material between the heating coil and your mouth. An atomizer can only hold a few drops of e-liquid at a time, though, so you’ll need to have a bottle of e-liquid nearby at all times.
